Audi RS6

A car owned by Audi
The Audi RS6 Quattro, commonly referred to as the RS6, is a high-performance version of the A6 line, positioned above the Audi S6. It is a sporty five-door, five-seater station wagon developed and produced by Audi's Quattro Gmbh GMBH

The C5 RS6 is the fourth model introduced by quattro AG for Audi. The first is the Audi RS2 Avant, a joint venture between Porsche and Audi quattro AG. The second was the Audi C4 S6, produced between April 1996 and July 1997. The third, the RS4, was based on the Audi B5 platform in 2000. The fifth is the 2005 Audi A4 DTM sedan, based on the B7 platform. The sixth was the 2006 RS4 based on the Audi B7 platform. Seventh and most recent is (as of January 2010) the RS6 for the Audi C6 platform built by quattro Gmbh.

Its front wheels use Brembo eight-piston monolithic brake calipers, each with four pads and radially ventilated brake discs, with a diameter of 365 mm and a thickness of 33 mm. The tail uses a single-piston ATE brake caliper with a floating radial vent disc, with a diameter of 335 mm and a thickness of 23 mm. The front and rear brake calipers are made of a high gloss material and have the Audi "RS" logo in black paint.
